Who We Are

Gridley is developed and maintained by individual developer Nikita Marchenko.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at hello@gridley.app.

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Gridley iOS and iPad app.

What Data We Collect

We never ask for or store your Instagram password. A connected Instagram account is authenticated through Meta Login and the Instagram Graph API.

We collect only the data needed to provide Gridley, including limited user-authorized Meta Platform Data when you connect an Instagram Professional account.

Gridley only collects the following:

  • Anonymous analytics data to understand how people use the app and make it better.
  • Crash reports to fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Access tokens required to authenticate a connected Instagram account and provide user-authorized publishing features.

Instagram and Meta Platform Data

When you choose to connect your Instagram Professional account through Meta, Gridley accesses only the Platform Data that you explicitly authorize through Meta Login and the Instagram Graph API.

Depending on the permissions you grant, this Platform Data may include:

  • Instagram User ID.
  • Username.
  • Display name.
  • Profile picture URL.
  • Account type.
  • Followers count.
  • Following count.
  • Media count.
  • Media metadata required to provide the Services.
  • Access tokens required to authenticate your connected Instagram account.

How We Use Meta Platform Data

Gridley accesses and uses this information solely to provide the features you request. We use Meta Platform Data exclusively to provide the functionality requested by the user.

This includes authenticating the connected Instagram account; displaying account information inside the app; content planning; scheduling and publishing content explicitly authorized by the user; providing analytics and account insights; and maintaining the connection between the user’s Instagram account and Gridley.

Gridley only accesses Platform Data belonging to the authenticated user who connected their own Instagram account.

We do not use Platform Data for advertising profiling. We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise monetize Platform Data. We do not share Platform Data with third parties except trusted service providers acting on our behalf and only as necessary to operate the Services.

How We Use This Data

Analytics and crash reports are used solely to improve app performance and the overall user experience.

Meta Platform Data is accessed through Meta Login and the Instagram Graph API only as needed for user-authorized app functionality.

Third-Party Services

The following services may process data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Firebase — analytics and crash reporting.
  • Google Analytics — website usage insights.
  • AppHud — subscription management.

Data Processors

Gridley uses Cloudflare, Inc. as a cloud infrastructure provider and data processor.

Cloudflare securely processes and stores Platform Data on our behalf solely to operate and secure the Services. Cloudflare acts only under our instructions and does not determine the purposes of processing Platform Data.

Data Storage & Security

We store only the minimum data needed for Gridley to work and do not store Instagram passwords. We use HTTPS/TLS to protect data in transit.

We apply technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect Platform Data. Access to Platform Data is restricted to the systems and personnel that require it to provide the Services.

  • Anonymous analytics are stored by third-party providers (Firebase, Google) per their own policies.
  • Access to Platform Data is restricted according to operational need.

Data Retention

Platform Data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the requested Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or until the user disconnects their Instagram account.

When an Instagram account is disconnected, Platform Data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable laws and this Privacy Policy.

Data Deletion

You can delete your Gridley account and all data stored in it directly in the app.

Open Gridley → Settings → Delete Account, then confirm.

Once deleted, your account and related data are permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.

Anonymous analytics are not linked to individual users and cannot be selectively removed.

Children's Privacy

Gridley is not directed at children under 13 years old and does not knowingly collect data from them.

GDPR & CCPA

Gridley is available worldwide, including in the EU and California.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may also object to certain processing or request data portability. To make a request, contact us at hello@gridley.app.

API Integrations

Gridley uses Meta Login and the Instagram Graph API to connect a user-authorized Instagram Professional account.

Meta Platform Data is used only to provide the features described in this Privacy Policy. Meta and Instagram may independently process data according to their own privacy policies.

Compliance with Meta Platform Terms

Gridley processes Meta Platform Data in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms, Meta Developer Policies, and applicable privacy laws.

We collect only the Platform Data necessary to provide the Services requested by users. We apply data minimization principles and process Platform Data only for the purposes explicitly authorized by users.

User Control

You may disconnect your connected Instagram account at any time and may request deletion of your data.

You may also revoke permissions directly through Meta Account Settings. Revoking permissions may prevent Gridley from providing features that rely on the Instagram Graph API.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
